The Phoenix Rescue Mission presently provides all daytime services to women, as well as women with children, at the present shelter location. These services include 3 hot meals daily, food boxes, showers, clean clothing, phone service, and many other things to make their lives better.
The Mission is able to provide referrals for child care and jobs, as well as other agency contacts, to help with health issues and other challenges.
Plans for the Future
Recognizing the desperate need for facilities to respond to the fastest growing segment in homelessness, poverty, and abusive conditions, the Phoenix Rescue Mission is planning a new shelter for single women and women with children.
Here are some important facts for you to know:

There are about 10,000 people living in the streets of Maricopa County on any given day.

Of that population, almost 50% of those in need are women, children, and families.

Sadly, there are only 1,100 emergency beds dedicated to women and children available in all of Maricopa County.
Over the past few years, the Lord has led us into a significant neighborhood ministry, as well as an outreach program, to help those who can’t get to us. What a joy this has been to respond to the needs the Lord has put before us.
As a result, the Mission has plans to break ground on the Changing Lives Center in 2007. This new center will provide homeless women and their children to live together while the women participate in a long-term residential addiction recovery program. The Mission is currently raising $12 million to complete the Changing Lives Center and has collected more than half of this goal so far.
