Annual Easter Event
Phoenix Rescue Mission provided Easter baskets, food boxes, clothing and a day of fun and games for over 700 families at this year's "Celebrate the Resurrection" event. The children enjoyed the Easter Carnival and the puppet show ministry performed by Community Church of Joy was uplifting for everyone. The Mission would like to thank all of the individuals, businesses and churches who made this day special for everyone.



Souper Bowl Of Caring
Congratulations to Siemens Industry for being crowned the 2010 Souper Bowl of Caring Champions on Super Bowl Sunday! They received the coveted Cardinals football and trophy by donating an amazing 551 pounds of food. Rounding out the top 3 were Horizon Presbyterian Youth with 530 pounds and buckeye Community Church with 224 pounds. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Urban Farmer's Market
Our January 2010 Urban Farmer's Market was the most successful produce distribution in our history. We received 22 pallets of fresh food from St. Mary's Food Bank and had another 6 pallets of donated meat from our reserves. Over 80 volunteers helped distribute food to 2,204 people. H1N1 shots were administered to over 160 people by the Maricopa County Integrated Health and women's and children's clothing was also given away - all for free. Thank you to Calvary Chapel Goodyear for providing musical entertainment for everyone at the event.
